BILL DUVALL'S PERSONAL TRAINING

TRAINING WITH ENTHUSIASM, PROFESSIONALISM, AND INSPIRATION

My philosophy on fitness is that everyone has a certain level of athlete in them. Whether its weight loss, body composition, strength, improved movement patterns, pain reduction/elimination or an individual goal, to truly reap the benefits of each one, we must continue to improve all of those elements simultaneously. Bottom line is, improve your athleticism and your body composition will follow. Not to mention your mental and physical health, ability to age gracefully, and overall lifestyle will improve also.

People who know me well say I have an all or nothing mindset when it comes to sports, fitness, or any other interests in my life. I have done a wide variety of sports such as: CrosFit, triathlons, basketball, self defense, cycling, kettlebells and competed professionally in three different mixed martial arts organizations.

This is an enormous advantage to my clients and students because I not only bring knowledge, but I bring a passion that is hard to be beat. Seeing you guys and gals improve your quality of life brings great satisfaction and excitement to me!

“Let’s dig deep and make some positive life changes!”

Jason Johnson, BS, NSCA-CPT

I have been married to my wife for 8 years now and we have four beautiful kids (I am biased but really they are awesome). We enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities. I enjoy dirt bikes and quads, rock climbing, mountain biking, and water skiing. To be able to keep up with my kids and to enjoy these activities I always strive to keep myself in great physical shape. It is my personal belief that we need to exercise and have a healthy diet not only for the reasons we know about (disease prevention and overall health) but so we can enjoy life. If you seek pleasure from your activities and desire to stay injury free, you need to be conditioned enough so you can do what you enjoy and enjoy it!

Exercise should be constructed to benefit you for the activities that you enjoy doing. This philosophy dictates my style of training. I strive to create unique and fun workouts that allow you to train your body how you would move in the real world. To do so, I use many non-traditional pieces of equipment, such as: medicine balls, kettlebells, chains, kegs, tires, sledgehammer, fitness ropes, sandbags, functional bodyweight movements and suspension training. This style of training is unique in that it is FUN. Your workouts constantly change and are not doing some boring circuit.

I have been privileged to train hundreds of clients from all walks of life. This experience has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and expertise. I have trained traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation clients all the way to professional athletes, 7 years-olds to 88 years-old. The most rewarding aspect of my job is being able to see the success of those who put in the effort and achieve their goals. My personal motto is, "The fulfillment of my life is impacting other peoples lives". I love being able to influence peoples lives for the better. I have been a personal trainer for nearly a decade and still enjoy every minute of it.

I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant through the American Council on Exercise. I received my Bachelors degree in Kinesiology- Exercise Science as well as a Strength and Conditioning certificate from California State University- Sacramento. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Human Movement from A.T.Still University,
